HEMP vs MARIJUANA vs CANNABIS

Industrial hemp and marijuana are both cannabis. Marijuana and hemp are not separate cannabis species, rather marijuana and hemp are political definitions while cannabis is a botanical term. Marijuana is cannabis defined under the Controlled Substance Act and industrial hemp is cannabis defined under the 2014 (and subsequently the 2018) Farm Bill. Hemp is cannabis with a 0.3, or less, THC percentage. THC is one, of over 100, cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are one, of many phytochemicals that makeup the cannabis plant.
